Cody and Lauren Herren

We are Cody, Lauren, Thatcher, and Mallory Herren! We fell in love shortly after being set up by our mutual friend in college. After getting married in 2017, Lauren graduated as an RN, BSN, and Cody graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2019. We were blessed with two amazing kids who are so much fun and made our hearts grow more than we thought possible. We love anything outdoors. Whether it is gardening, running, hiking, fishing, or snowboarding, we just love to be outside! We had the opportunity to be ETEAM coordinators from 2022-2025, which God used to prepare us for Him calling us to full-time overseas missions! Our internship will consist of learning and immersing ourselves into the culture, discipleship, as well as learning the “ins and outs” of church planting in France.

Layton and Stephanie Smith

Layton and Stephanie Smith are lead church planters at a brand-new church plant in Sumterville, Florida. This new plant is a joint project between North American Ministries (NAM) and the Florida State Mission Board. Though they are new to church planting, Layton and Stephanie are no strangers to ministry and leadership – Layton serving in pastoral roles since 2018, and Stephanie as a career nurse. The Smiths have four young children: Micah, Adah, Noah, and Judah. Sumterville is one of the most rapidly expanding communities in the state of Florida, and, sadly, over 75% of residents are unbelievers with no religious affiliation. The Smiths feel a deep burden for this community and are passionate about seeing lives changed through the transformative power of the Gospel.
